Dr. Lisa Hancock is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides neuropsychological assessments for ages 2 through adult; and counseling and psychotherapy to children (ages 12+), teens, families, couples, and adults. She has experience with neurodevelopmental, learning, processing, anxiety, and mood disorders; including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, dyslexia, math and writing disorders, dysgraphia, auditory and visual processing, communication and language disorders, anxiety disorders, conduct disorders, and depressive disorders. Dr. Hancock is experienced in conducting Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE); as well as supporting parents through the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process. She is licensed in both California and Nevada.

 

Additionally, Dr. Hancock specializes in working with twice-exceptional individuals (those who are gifted and have concurrent learning or developmental challenges) as well as with individuals who are highly through profoundly gifted. Dr. Hancock is certified by SENG as a parent support group Trainer and Master Facilitator; is a Certified Autism Specialist; is a member of PG Retreat; served on the Board and Application Review Team for PG Retreat; and speaks regularly at local, state, and national gifted conferences. She also works with school and district administrators to provide teacher in-service training; conducts parent education workshops; and provides presentations at area schools and community events. She is the Treasurer Elect for the Los Angeles County Psychological Association for 2022-2023, and the Treasurer for 2023-2024. In her spare time she enjoys Scottish Dancing and is the Vice Chair of the Los Angeles Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
