Summit Center was co-founded by Susan Daniels, Ph.D., an internationally recognized expert in gifted education, creativity, and visual learning. Formerly a Professor of Educational Psychology and Counseling at California State University, San Bernardino, Susan brought to Summit Center a deep commitment to understanding the social and emotional needs of gifted and twice-exceptional children — a commitment reflected in her co-authorship of Living with Intensity (Gifted Unlimited, 2008) and Boosting Your Child’s Natural Creativity (2022, Gifted Unlimited), among other works. Her expertise and vision helped shape the values and approach that have guided Summit Center’s work with families since its founding. We are grateful for her lasting contribution.
