Sofia Blankenship provides psychotherapy and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults at Summit Center’s Walnut Creek office. She is currently a third-year doctoral student at the Wright Institute with a particular interest in working with neurodivergent youth and their families.
Previously, Sofia trained at Through the Looking Glass (TLG), a community nonprofit agency dedicated to supporting infants, children, and families in which one or more members has a disability or medical condition. There she received extensive training in infant mental health, child development, family systems, and relationship-based early interventions. Following TLG, Sofia trained at the Wright Institute Clinic, where she provided psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults, couples, and families impacted by anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, chronic medical conditions, and family stress. At this clinic, she also conducted psychological assessments to inform treatment planning.
Sofia is committed to honoring neurodiverse perspectives through a relational, strengths-based, and client-centered approach. By fostering insight and resilience, she strives to support children in reaching their full potential while empowering families to navigate their journey with greater confidence and hope.
