Britt Harwood provides assessments and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults at Summit Center’s Walnut Creek office. She is a fourth-year doctoral student at the Wright Institute, where she has developed a relational approach to therapy and evaluation, drawing from psychodynamic, narrative, and attachment-based theories. Britt has also been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based interventions.

Previously, Britt worked at Sutter Health Alta Bates Hospital, where she provided therapy and crisis stabilization in psychiatric inpatient and intensive outpatient units. She also provided psychotherapy within the student wellness center at Diablo Valley College, where she supported college students struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.

Britt holds a J.D. from Berkeley Law, and, as an attorney, advocated for the rights of low-income children and people with disabilities. Informed by her experiences as an advocate and parent, Britt believes that all of us think, feel, and perceive in unique ways, and deserve to be fully seen and supported as we navigate life’s challenges.
