Benjamin Xu provides psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments and psychotherapy for children and adolescents. Currently entering his third year of training, Benjamin is pursuing a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, focusing on neuropsychological assessment and evidence-based treatment. Benjamin utilizes a strength-based, client-centered, integrative approach. Besides English, Benjamin speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, and Shanghainese (Wu).
 
Benjamin started his academic journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. He has worked as a clinician in various settings, including international mental health and public psychiatric hospitals in Shanghai, China, and at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland (SPARK Program), where he provided in-class intervention to clients ages 3-7 with neurodevelopmental disorders and/or trauma.
 
Benjamin is passionate about serving young children and adolescents from Asian American, Asian diaspora, and other underserved communities. He strives to create a supportive and culturally responsive therapeutic environment that honors each client’s unique background, needs, and strengths.
