Sammy DeVincent is continuing for a second year at Summit Center’s Walnut Creek office, where she provides psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments and therapy for children and adolescents. 

 

Sammy holds an integrative approach to therapy, where she is able to incorporate her training and experience in various treatment methods in a flexible manner to meet the specific needs of each of her clients. Sammy previously worked at a community clinic, providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to adults with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She also conducted intake assessments and worked as an Emotion Efficacy Therapy group facilitator. Additionally, Sammy provided trauma-informed therapy to students at an underserved continuation high school. She earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a M.A. in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute. Sammy is a fourth-year doctoral student at the Wright Institute working towards her Psy.D.
