Megan O’Donnell provides psychotherapy at Summit Center’s Walnut Creek office using a strengths based, humanistic, attachment focused approach to therapy with children, adolescents, adults and couples.
Megan has been working with children for over a decade. She has spent the past three years working with individuals, children and couples as a part of the Family Service Agency of Marin. Previously, Megan worked for San Francisco Unified School district, with middle school students helping them develop healthy coping skills and learn new ways of reducing anxiety and worry. She partnered together with families and teens along with teachers and faculty in an effort to provide psychoeducation and advocacy for each child.
Megan graduated with a bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. She is currently enrolled in a psychoanalytic psychodynamic therapeutic training program at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. Megan focuses on the individuals’ strengths and strives to create a safe non-judgmental space to alleviate their struggles and difficulties.
