Dr. Lisa Hilley provides comprehensive assessments to children and adolescents at Summit Center. She is a licensed psychologist with over fifteen years of clinical and assessment experience. She has worked in community clinics, hospitals, schools and community agencies across the United States. In her training, Dr. Hilley provided psychological and educational assessments and therapy at the University of Maryland Medical School and Kennedy Krieger Institute. She provided comprehensive assessments for children and youth coping with complex medical conditions and chronic illness at the Mailman Center for Child Development in Miami.
For nearly a decade, as a senior leader in several Bay Area non-profits, Dr. Hilley developed and managed programs for children, youth and families with a focus on youth involved in foster care. Her clinical interests are in assessment, anxiety, healthy communication, parenting skills, self-esteem, behavior concerns, trauma, and positive decision-making. Dr. Hilley believes in a strengths based, collaborative and practical approach to assessment and therapy. She also has an interest in parent coaching and is a trained Positive Discipline Educator. Dr. Hilley continues to be inspired by the courage and strengths of children, youth and families who find creative ways to navigate their own unique gifts and challenges.
