Cyrell Roberson is a member of Summit Center’s Doctoral Training Program, offering therapy, counseling, and assessment appointments at reduced fees under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Chou. Cyrell is a fourth year doctoral trainee in school psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, where his research focuses on the psychosocial development of gifted students. More specifically, his research aims to identify the positive, psychosocial variables that enable high achieving, yet low-income students to overcome adversity and excel in academics. Cyrell earned a B.S. in psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana and an M.A. in education from UC Berkeley. His previous experience includes working at Educational Testing Service (ETS) on the Fairness Review team and interning at the White House, where he explored domestic policy initiatives of the Executive Office of the President. Cyrell has a wide range of psychoeducational assessment and consultation practicum experience in public, private, and charter schools in the Bay Area.
